Billions of Christian witches

Many may rush to read this message, and then when they see that it is “just” about obedience, they will think I engaged in “clickbait.”   If that is your attitude when reading this message, I am sorry, but you have already missed the mark and risk finding yourself outside where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth! Why do I say that? Because the LORD is EXTREMELY serious about obedience – the subject of this message. He is so serious about obedience; this is what he says:

Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. 1 Samuel 15: 22-23 (NIV).

And do you know what the Lord said should be done to witches and all those who practice divination?

“‘A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.’” Leviticus 20: 27 (NIV).

“But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21: 8 (NLT).

You might then ask, how have I been disobedient to the Lord? There are many areas in which someone can sin, but just for clarity, disobedience is not speaking about unintentional sin – where you didn’t know. No, it’s dealing with those who know the truth and God’s righteous demands but disobey them anyway!  Examples of where we disobey the Lord and especially make him angry are these:

1.      When we only partially obey what he told us.

2.      In failing to give to the church and those in need.

3.      In refusing to forgive those who trespass/sin against us.

4.      In being fearful and/or unbelieving (lack of faith) – for example, when he sends you to do something.

5.      When we bury/do not utilize the talents he has given us.

6.      When he invites us to serve him, but we refuse to prepare adequately, as we should.

7.      When we refuse to repent of sin he has continually warned us about.

Do you now see how we have billions of Christian witches? People who say they are believers but by their disobedience to the Master, they are practicing divination, also known as witchcraft, thus inviting certain death upon themselves? Woe unto you and I if we don’t repent of this grievous thing which really displeases the Holy One!
