Request for Prayer Be part of the Mission
See What God Has Done For Others

TESTIMONY:

TESTIMONY (A vow made to Jesus in June 2020) I am a Christian mother, married to one husband, with two children. However, my firstborn child went to be with Jesus on June 11, 2020, at the age of 26. The Word of God on which I base this testimony is found in Philippians 4:6–7, which says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” The reason I share this testimony is to proclaim the goodness of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Christians. Some may say: “This is foolish—she has lost her child, yet she still speaks of the goodness of Jesus Christ.” I want to tell you this: for those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives, or who already live with Him, they accept the path that God allows them to walk, according to the Word of God which says: “Give thanks in all circumstances” and “All things work together for good.” You may find it hard to believe when I say that during the two nights of vigil while awaiting my child’s body, I was the one encouraging others, through testimony and by sharing the Word of God with those who came to keep watch. It was then that I truly felt the Lord standing by my side, strengthening me just as He has done for many of His servants who faced difficult and painful trials. It is this goodness of Jesus Christ that I want to share with you, especially if you do not yet believe in Him or do not yet serve Him. Make the decision to serve Him, for the Jesus of Christians is good! I myself never thought I could endure the loss of a child, especially since I had only two. Often in my prayers, I asked God not to take one of my children, fearing that I might fall into discouragement in my faith. Yet even I was surprised by the calm and peace with which I faced my child’s passing. The final part of the Word of God on which my testimony stands was fulfilled in me: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” You may wonder what also strengthened me before my child passed away: my child was rehearsing worship songs, including “Hallelujah” (repeated four times at the entrance) and Handel’s “Hallelujah.” This gave me great strength, for I felt that my child was going to Jesus. Moreover, the hope of all believers is to inherit eternal life. I also want to remind you, who are reading or listening to this testimony, that everyone on this earth, rich or poor, religious or not, is merely a borrower. Jesus Christ, Lord of all things and Ruler of the universe, lends wealth and resources so that they may be used to serve Him. Authority is also lent to leaders; if they do not know how to exercise it properly, God takes it away from them. A spouse and children are also loans from God. When God took my child back, I understood that the time of that loan had come to an end, and I give Him thanks. I will continue to tell you about the greatness and goodness of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Christians. When my child became ill, I did not immediately think of taking him/her to the hospital because of my overwhelming worry. I then asked forgiveness from the Lord for forgetting His Word in Philippians 4:6a, which says: “Be anxious for nothing.” When the illness worsened, we had no choice but to go to the hospital. Upon arrival, hospitalization was necessary. I then spoke to Jesus, my Lord, saying: “Since You have sent us here, I ask You to provide for us until the very end.” After praying, I walked by faith. We immediately took a private paid room, trusting that the Lord of all things would provide. He truly confirmed His Word which says: “Ask, and it shall be given to you.” During the 22 days we spent in the hospital, medical prescriptions accumulated to amounts exceeding 10 million ariary, approaching 20 million, yet no debt remained for the private room. After my child passed away, people came forward to cover the cost of the grave and a rosewood coffin, a precious wood, totaling about 7.5 million ariary. During the lockdown, when travel was restricted from 1:00 p.m., a niece living abroad asked if financial help was needed and sent 1 million ariary. This made it possible to rent three Sprinter vehicles to transport everyone to the burial. The remaining amount—more than 6 million ariary—was used to tile the grave. The God of Christians was able to use many people—my siblings, prayer partners, and family. Not only that, but He is also able to order and arrange the lives of those who serve Him. At that time (during Covid-19), doctors suspected coronavirus infection, which would have prevented the family from attending the burial. But through God’s organization and mercy, a test had already been done (negative). Because God knows the future, my child received a blood transfusion due to low hemoglobin levels and was not evacuated to Antananarivo for medical transfer. When my child passed away, there was no Covid suspicion, and the doctor allowed us to return home and proceed with the burial peacefully. To all who read this testimony: if you do not yet believe in God, make a decision. He is good, He does good, and He is trustworthy. Even here on earth, He takes your life into His hands, cares for you, and strengthens you in times of trial. We are mistaken if we think that having Jesus means life will be easy. No, the Christian life involves constant battles. But remember that we emerge victorious, because Jesus Christ conquered even death, and those who serve Him share in His victory. In closing, I would like to speak especially to the youth. Young person reading this testimony: my child was 26 years old, deeply loved prayer, and God fulfilled in him/her His Word: “Those who honor Me, I will honor.” If you carefully observe everything shared above, the glory of God was revealed. The grave where my child rests resembles that of a wealthy person—a tiled burial vault.
